I was tagged by my crazy friend Jennifer and I loved reading about what a spaz she is so here are 6 weird things about me. I'm a little embarrassed that I'm not as weird as Jennifer.
1. I cannot put dishes in the dishwasher with any kind of food on them. I even wash them off with soap before I put them in. When people come over for dinner and they help with the dishes, which is nice and I appreciate it, but I have to take them out when no one is looking and wash them.
2.When I was little I sucked my thumb and twisted my pillow case. I have since stopped sucking my thumb but the pillow thing still goes strong. If you ever notice my bed I'll have two pillow cases that match my sheets and two of the oldest, ugliest pillow cases ever. They are worn, and soft and I can twist any spot on them. I also like to twist most any fabric similar to a bed sheet, such as Jared's church shirts. He does not like me to make little twist spots on his shirt during church. Sometimes I can get away with twisting the little folded spot at the top of the back of his shirt and it is so calming to me. I will also gladly twist paper. I truly think that this is in my top five favorite things ever.
3. I hate to use a mop. I think that a mop just squishes all the dirt around, into the corners and along the edges of the walls and counters. Disgust!! I've even tried the Swiffer mop, only a teeny bit better. So, for as long as I can remember I have gotten down on my hands and knees with a bucket and a rag and scrubbed my floors. This way I can rinse out my rag often and I can get all of the corners and edges really well. Also I can see my cabinets at a new angle and I can get them cleaner too. I think that my system makes a lot of sense but people look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them how I mop. You would think that the rest of my house is spotless but, not so much. I wish my obsession spilled over into some other house hold cleaning chores.
4. I love, love, love to find a good sale. $5 and less is even better. The dollar aisle at Target is one of my favorite places. I can always find a treasure there. I got all of Madeline's pants for this winter for $4 or less each. I found an embroidered lamp shade for $3.50, glass vase for $1, 2 pair of shoes for Madeline for $2 each. It has become a bit of a sickness. I have a very hard time buying anything that is not at least 40% off. It just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
5. I like to pick stuff. I pick the dry skin off of my lips daily, I love to pick the little pieces of skin that stick up around my fingernails. Jared's are the best to pick. I love to run my fingers through my hair and pick at the little bumps on my head. When Madeline was a baby I picked off the little scabs that babies get on their heads that you are not supposed to pick. It was fine! She is fine! In fact the places that I picked at are the only places that she has nice thick hair.
6. I love to have someone take my socks and shoes off for me. Especially when I've been on my feet all day. When I used to waitress, a long time ago, I would come home and Jared would take my shoes and socks off really slow. Oh, it felt so nice. Follow that up with a leg and foot rub, give me an old pillow case to twist and I am in heaven. That is the perfect combo.
In doing this tag I have realized that a lot of the quirks that I used to have that were borderline O.C.D are not a problem for me anymore. I have either grown up or being a wife and mother has distracted me enough that they just don't matter so much anymore.
The only person that I tag is Jared. I love Jared's quirks and I'm interested to know what he considers to be his top 6. Love you sweets.

Ha ha! That is awesome! I'm excited to see what Jared says too. And I think you are a spaz too. ;)
