Is America Day over?

As we helped Jared take down the flags in the neighborhood Madeline asked me with a touch of concern in her voice "Is America Day over mom?" She did not want the day to end and I don't blame her. We started out with the parade. This was her first parade and she was very impressed. She loved the marching band and the princess floats. After that we went to Nana and Papa's condo for a swim party at their pool. She has become very brave this year and has a ton of fun swimming. After our yummy lunch of marinated turkey and cake pops we rushed home to collect flags with the scouts. Then her and Rylie played in the new, full of sand, sand box until every one else came for some glow sticks, driveway fireworks, home made ice cream and the West Jordan fire works show. By the time everyone left Madeline was so tired she could hardly talk. Madeline was not the only one to have a big day, Bradley got his two bottom teeth. I know!!! He is to teeny to have teeth! Madeline got her first two teeth when she was 4 1/2 months old. I figure that he would get teeth around then but surprise! Teeth at 3 1/2 months. Lucky me. I really need to stop comparing Bradley with Madeline because other than their looks they have had very little in common. (sorry I cannot get the pic to flip)This is our first summer spent with our families in six years. We lived in Pennsylvania for 3 years and went back for the summer the next 3 years. We miss PA so much but we are really enjoying spending the summer with our families and working in our yard. The kids and I are planning to spend a week in Lund and the Jared will meet us there for the 24th festivities or the Lund Days as Jared likes to call it. Madeline gets to ride on our family float and through candy. She is excited. We are blessed to live near our families again. We are thankful that Heavenly Father opened the doors that brought us back out west.
