My baby girl is 5 years old today. I cannot believe it. She has grown into a beautiful, loving little girl who is funny, caring, creative, smart, sensitive, and thoughtful.
Some of my favorite things about the last year have been:
Watching her become nurturing friend of Joel (a little down syndrome boy) in her preschool class. She watched out for him in class and thought the world of him.
I loved how brave she was this summer when she jumped off of the diving board at swimming lessons!
She has been sucking up any kind of knowledge to the point of thinking that she is smarter than her parents. I love that she is loves learning. Now she thinks that I don't know anything.
She saved her own money and bought a big girl bike.
Her hair has gotten so long and fun to do.
She is the best helper in the kitchen and has just about got all the different measuring devises figured out so that she can read the recipe all by her self.
She is a fun big sister and can make her little brother laugh more than anyone else.
I love when I am apologizing for getting upset with her she tells me It's OK, you still a sweet mom.
She was my best friend when she was a baby in PA and we are still best friends today. I love her so much I think my heart will pop.
