My little girl is a big six year old! I just want to eat her up she is so cute. Being six agrees with her. She is so smart and learns the best stuff from school.
Example: a commercial for Proactive skin care was on TV the other day, she came up to me and said "I know what proactive means, It means to find yourself something to do. My teacher tells us that."
"I want to exercise every day because my teacher says that if we don't we will get old and slow just like her. She can barely even jump!"
Every place that we have lived Madeline has been the only girl her age. Boys, boys, boys. Her Kindergarten class is almost evenly split. She has made friends with all the kids in her class and has really enjoyed finally having some little girl friends. One of her best friends (Kacee) has been living right across the street from us since we moved here! We never knew.
So for Madeline's Birthday this year I decided to have a surprise party for her. Mostly to avoid the drama that comes with the anticipation of a birthday. I invited 2 of her little friends and they had a make-up party. I found tiny little make-up bags and filled them up with real eye shadow, lipstick, nail polish and some cheap jewelry. They put make-up on for an hour and a half. Painted their toes, ate a brownie and I took them home.

Simple.
Messy.
Fun.
That evening after we picked Jared up from work, we ran to Wal-mart so Madeline could spend her Birthday money from Grandma Kaye on the most beautiful christmas tree to put in her room.
So... Happy Birthday to my girl back on December 8th. I look forward to hearing what she has to say tomorrow.
