Beaches, Bunnies, Blueberries, Babysitting and Drums Circles

The past couple of weeks have been alot of fun. I have been babysiting for the photography teacher. Her little boy, Oban, is 2 years and the sweatest thing ever. He loves Madeline. He laughs at everything she does and you know that Madeline loves that. She started to call him her little brother Oban. I think because all the other girls she plays with around here have new little brothers. We have explained that he doesn't get to go home with us and I think she is OK with it.

We had a great day at the beach. All but one of the kids came and we played all morning. It was the perfect day for the beach.

Every couple of days, if it isn't raining, We fill up the little community swimming pool and turn on the crazy sprinkler and the kids play. They love it so much. Plus it's free and almost no risk of drowning so it is fun for the moms too.

There are wild bunnies all over campus so while Jared is teaching his night class Madeline and I go on a Bunny Hunt. We take carrots and we throw them to the bunnies that we see. Usually on our way home the fireflies come out. One night we caught some and put them in a jar. It was cool to see them close up. They would only light up if we would shake them realy hard. I think that they were a little sick when we finally let them go.

We have been to the blueberry farm, riding bikes at Presquile, Lunch at the cafateria with Daddy, Ritas, Romolos, The big dance concert, Avner the Eccentric, and that is just what I can think of right now.

I almost forgot to mention every friday the Percussionist has a drum circle. Kids sit around with drums, buckets, whistles, bells, pretty much anything, and they jam out. Madeline is usually asleep but we made it this once. It was pretty sweet.

This had been a great summer for Madeline and I. Usually I'm ready to come home by now but I am really sad to leave everyone this time. We have made some new lasting friendships this year. We will miss everyone alot. Ready or not we leave on friday.

Sounds like you guys have had a great time in PA. It's been neat to read about what you guys do while you're there. With all the fun stuff you've done, I can see how it would be hard to come back home.

Fun!! I'm glad you guys are doing well. Madeline is getting so big and beautiful. Wish we lived by you guys still. So what does it mean on your side bar with the buddies when it says 1 day or 1 week and stuff?
