We went to the zoo again for a little art class that they put together just for little group of kids. It was really cool. When I heard that it would be animal art I tried not to get my hopes up. I thought that it couldn't be as cool as animals making art, but it was.
They had a little hedge hog looking thing( It was not a hedge hog though) and they would dip his tiny feet in paint and let him run around on some paper. Then the kids got to paint with big stamps that looked like different animal feet.
Next they had a bird. They would dip a sponge or a piece of rope into paint, give it to the bird, and he would drop it on the paper. The kids got to do the same thing with all kinds of objects.
Last they brought out a Ball Python and laid him in paint and then laid him on paper and let him slither around. He wasn't really active but we got the idea. The snake was so awesome. He made the neatest designs when he moved. Then they gave the kids rubber snakes that they could paint with. Madeline especially loved the snake.
All of that for only $3 a kid. It was way fun. It was way to hot today to stay at the zoo for very long so we took a ride on the train and headed home. It was a swell afternoon.
