Today, I was trying to explain the 4th of July holiday to Madeline and she just could not see a connection with the American flag and the 4th of July so I told her it was America Day and the rest of the day that is what she told everybody. I kinda like the sound of America Day.
We had a fun day. Jared had things to do at the school all morning so Madeline and I went to Meadville to our friend Sherie's house to pick out some fabrics for Madeline's quilts I'm making for her beds in her room. Later that night we had a cook out with all of the PGSA people. The kids played all night and I took video of three of them dancing on the lawn up on campus. There are so many kids up here this year (ages 5, 3, three who are 2, and two babies.) Madeline has had a good time playing with them. When it got dark we walked around campus trying to find a spot where we could see the fire works that were down at the lake. We got to see a little bit of the show, but I think next year, we will have to drive a little to get close enough to really enjoy the show.
We hope everyone had a great America Day. We love and miss you.
