Finally excited about Christmas.

So Sorry that it has been so long since we've posted. The Internet has been out of order. Today it is back, yeah!!

Well, Madeline (now 4 years old) should be so stoked about Santa and present and stuff right? She couldn't care less. I have explained to her a few times now about Santa and what he does and that he will bring her a present on Christmas and what would she like..... I get nothing but a shrug. Monday I asked again what she wanted or if she wanted it to be a surprise and she thought for a second and said "Maybe Santa could bring me a sippy cup that doesn't leak." How sweet is that?

Before I took her to school I told her about Reindeer food and that after preschool we would make some and then on Christmas Eve we would sprinkle it on the lawn so that Santa would come to our house first. I don't know what they talked about at preschool but when I picked her up she could not stop talking about the reindeer. So I put her up to the counter and gave her all the things that she needed and she made some really glittery reindeer food. The video is a little long but way cute. She loves to watch the Rachael Ray show. I think that she has been taking notes.

After the Reindeer food was finished she was spinning around on the floor talking about everything to do with reindeer. I was only half listening to her when she said " I am more excited than you apparently." Any one familiar with Junie B. Jones would recognize that Madeline has been listening to the books a little to much.
It is cute to see her starting to be excited about all that stuff but still her favorite thing is the story of Baby Jesus and the nativity. She loved hearing the story and seeing the life size nativity at temple square. She plays almost every day with a nativity that Jared made when he was a kid and she loves to read the story of Jesus' birth. I love that. So far this Christmas season has been so busy and crazy that I have had a hard time feeling the Christmas spirit. When I see her playing so sweet with her nativity and quoting the story that we read at bed time, it warms my heart. I am so thankful for her sweet spirit in our home. I can't imagine life without her.

The day after her birthday I took her to have her yearly pictures taken. They turned out so stinkin' cute! Click here to see. Let me know if there is one you especially like. I have to order this weekend. Thanks to Carma Gray for spending so much time with us and getting so many fun pics. Carma is awesome.

What great pictures! I love the one of her feeding her kitty and the one with her looking back over her shoulder, with the three pets.

The pictures are so cute! Carma did a great job, but her model is outstanding! I agree with Garrett, they are all too cute to pick just one.
