Suess Day

Happy Birthday Dr. Suess!

Today we spent the day in full Dr. Suess mode. It's his 106th Birthday today and we decided that we should celebrate.

I made the kids "Cat in the Hat" hats. Madeline wore hers most of the day, brother did not.

We ate "Green Egg and Ham" for breakfast.

We made "Ooblack" ( 1C. corn starch and 1/2C. water) We learned that it will turn back into just corn starch if you play with it ALL DAY.

The "Horton Hears a Who" clover we made a couple of years ago when we went to see the movie. We still have a couple.

For dinner we ate blue noodles, just for fun. Then we made some little Dr. Suess Birthday cakes.

The best surprise was Daddy coming home early to read Madeline her bed time story, "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" Daddies favorite.

So fun!! Will you be my mom? My poor kids. I'm just not that creative. But we will have green eggs on St. Patricks Day. :)
